Coordination of Supports is provided by Real Life Assistants to help people with disabilities and their families to access and manage their NDIS funding. They work with clients to identify their goals, connect them with suitable providers, and monitor their progress and outcomes. It helps participants to connect with the right providers, access the community, and achieve their goals. It can also assist with managing budgets, reviewing plans, and resolving issues.
Real Life Assistants offer group programs for participants, this encourages individuals with disabilities to come together and participate in activities, workshops and social events.
Real Life Social Enterprises provides a simulated “real life” work and learning environment for NDIS participants in the Illawarra and South Coast Regions, with the primary purpose of helping people with disability learn the skills they need to live independently, and/or to successfully transition into education, further training or meaningful mainstream employment. It is important to note that Real Life Social Enterprises creates pathways for people with disability to achieve their personal goals, learn skills and build capacity – and is not a direct employer.
Support work provides support for people who need help living independently. Support workers work with people who experience physical, cognitive or mental health challenges. They can provide both practical and emotional support depending on what their clients need. Real Life Assistants offers domestic, personal and social support for people with disabilities in the Illawarra Area.
